Introduction to the heat treatment state of seamless aluminum pipe processing

T is a widely used symbol in heat treatment alloys for processing seamless aluminum tubes. It can be used in any heat-treatable alloy.

T represents heat treatment, after heat treatment, to produce stable tempering except F, O or H.

T is a widely used symbol in heat treatment alloys for processing seamless aluminum tubes. It can be used in any heat-treatable alloy.

Heat-treatable alloys are usually subjected to rapid quenching after solution heat treatment, supplemented by natural or artificial aging.

There is always one or more numbers after T to define different subsequent processing.

T1: After high-temperature molding and cooling with aluminum circle disc supplier, natural aging to a basically stable state.

After being applied to high-temperature molding (such as casting or extrusion) process, the product is aged at room temperature at a cooling rate sufficient to increase the strength.

It is suitable for products that have not undergone cold processing after being formed and cooled at a high temperature, or products that have not been cold processed, such as flattening or straightening, which have little effect on mechanical properties.

T2: High temperature molding and cooling, then cold working, and natural aging to a stable state.

T3: Solution heat treatment, then cold working, and then natural aging to a stable state. It is applied to products whose strength can be improved by cold working, such as flattening or straightening.

T4: Solution heat treatment, then natural aging to a stable state. It is applied to products that have not been cold-worked after solution heat treatment, or products whose strength cannot be improved by cold processing.

T5: High temperature molding and cooling, then artificial aging. It is a product that is used for high-temperature molding (such as casting or extrusion) and cooling, and then artificially aging to improve the mechanical strength and dimensional stability of the product.

T6: Solution heat treatment, then artificial aging. After the solution heat treatment is applied, no cold working is performed, or cold working cannot improve the strength of the product.

T7: Solution heat treatment, then aging in the furnace to stabilize from CHAL Aluminium Corporation. The purpose of stabilization is to increase its tensile strength.

T8: Solution heat treatment, then cold work hardening, and later artificial aging treatment. It is applied to products whose strength can be improved by cold working, such as flattening or straightening.

T9: Solution heat treatment, then artificial age hardening, to increase the strength compared to post cold working.

T10: Cold working after high temperature molding and cooling, and then artificial aging to achieve precipitation hardening.
