Arc Raiders EMP Trap Route Tips by U4GM

I used to treat Straight Record like a quick errand, then lost a run by wandering around Victory Ridge with no idea where the second switch was. It is not a loot hunt, and you do not need to bring a special device. The whole job is about reading the ground around one fixed machine. If you are sorting your kit before deploying, ARC Raiders Items can help fill gaps, but this quest is mostly won by keeping your head up and moving with purpose. Celeste gives it after Broken Monument, and the reward is five Medium Gun Parts plus three Advanced Mechanical Components.

Start With the Pole, Not the Buildings.

Victory Ridge sits between Ruby Residence and West Broken Bridge, north of the Hydroponic Dome Complex. The landmark you want is a skinny wired pole on a bare dirt slope, with a round assembly near the top. It can blend into the ridge from a distance, especially in bad weather, so look for the cables spreading out from it. Walk up and use the control point first. That matters. It wakes up the switch objectives and gives you a proper centre point for the rest of the run. Take a second to look around before leaving. The hill is close by, the wrecked house is nearby, and one cable heads downhill toward the south.

The Route That Usually Keeps You Moving.

Go to the hill switch first. It is above the trap and does leave you exposed, so do not stand there admiring the view. Hit the interaction, check for movement, and drift toward the ruined house. The second switch is upstairs, which catches plenty of people out. There is no useful staircase inside. Circle outside instead and climb using the generator, rubble, or ledges against the wall. It feels a bit scrappy, but that is the intended path. Once the upper floor is done, head back toward the pole and pick up the cable leading south. Keep it in sight without staring at your boots. The third switch is along that downhill line near the road and vegetation. Then turn around and return to the original pole. The quest does not complete until you interact with the EMP trap again.

Do Not Turn a Small Circuit Into a Fight.

Victory Ridge can get busy fast. Machines wander through, and other Raiders know this is a repeat quest location. I would not clear the whole area unless something is physically blocking a switch. Check the hill before you commit, listen around the house climb, and scan the southern road before following the cable. Those few pauses save more runs than a heavier loadout does. Once the tracker confirms the shutdown, leave the immediate slope rather than hanging around the pole. If you need supplies for the next deployment, cheap ARC Items fit best into a low-risk approach, since Straight Record is about route memory, not expensive firepower.
